Anand, Friday: The Additional District Magistrate of Anand, Ruturaj Desai, has issued an official order requiring all brokers, commission agents, and dealers involved in the sale, purchase, or rental of bicycles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and electric vehicles to maintain a register.
As per this order, vehicle sellers, brokers, commission agents, and rental service providers in Anand district must verify and collect proper identification proof from customers and renters before proceeding with any transaction. They must also maintain an up-to-date register documenting all transactions. Whenever a broker or commission agent takes possession of a customer’s vehicle for sale or purchase, they must immediately record the details in a prescribed format and keep the register updated.
This register must include details such as:
- Name, address, and mobile number of the buyer, seller, or renter
- Type of vehicle
- Registration number, engine number, and chassis number
- Date and time when the broker or agent took possession of the vehicle
- Date and time when the customer rented the vehicle
- Date and time when the vehicle was handed over to the customer after sale or rental
- Date and time when the rented vehicle was returned
- Signatures of the buyer, seller, or renter, along with the signature of the broker or commission agent
Additionally, brokers and dealers must specify the designated storage location for vehicles in their possession within the register. They must also keep ownership or rental agreements of the storage location attached to the register and ensure that all vehicles are parked only in the designated space. Using public or government-owned spaces for commercial purposes will be considered a violation of this order.
This directive will remain in effect until September 8, 2025, and any violation of this order will result in legal consequences.
