Students of Navagam Primary School, Kheda District, Visit Anand Agricultural University’s Research Center Students Informed About Natural Farming

Anand, Thursday: A total of 60 students from grades 6 to 8 and 4 teachers from Navagam Primary School, Mahemdabad Taluka, Kheda District, visited the Agricultural Research Center, Nanpur, under pre-vocational/vocational education. The visit aimed to provide students with insights into research and extension activities, natural farming, and other agricultural topics.
During the visit, Dr. D. B. Prajapati, Head and Research Scientist at the center, briefed students about research and extension activities conducted by the center, various academic programs at Anand Agricultural University, and employment opportunities. He also discussed the harmful effects of excessive pesticide use and chemical fertilizers on human health and soil fertility.
Additionally, Dr. B. N. Thakkar, Assistant Extension Educationist, explained the importance of natural farming to the students.
Furthermore, students were given a guided tour of the museum at the Nanpur campus, where live models and charts were used to demonstrate various agricultural science concepts.
