Resurfacing Work on Roads Along Irrigation Department Canals to Be Carried Out in Phases

Anand, Saturday: The Anand Irrigation Department provides irrigation facilities to villages in the Anand, Borsad, Anklav, Umreth, and Petlad talukas through its canal network. Service roads have been constructed along these canals for maintenance and repairs.

The department has planned the resurfacing of roads along these canals. Currently, resurfacing work on 50 kilometers of canal-side roads is under the tendering process for seven projects, while 35 kilometers of roads are under the approval process. The resurfacing of the remaining canal roads will be carried out in phases, as stated by the Executive Engineer of the Anand Irrigation Department.
