Publish Date : 20/03/2025

Anand, Tuesday: To ensure safety, law, and order in Anand district, Additional District Magistrate Ruturaj Desai has imposed certain regulations on landlords and industrial units while renting out properties.

As per this public order, any landlord renting out a house, shop, or warehouse—whether directly or through an agent—must provide details to the local police station. This includes the landlord’s name, the location of the rented property, and the name of the authorized person renting it out, the rental period, the monthly rent, and full details (including photographs) of the tenants. Additionally, the landlord must also submit information about any intermediary involved in connecting them with the tenant.

Similarly, owners of industrial units, commercial establishments, and brick kilns, as well as labor contractors, must provide details of any unknown individuals or persons from outside the state or country whom they employ and/or provide accommodation for. They must submit photographs, identity documents, the name and address of the industrial unit, factory, or brick kiln, details of the responsible person, the date of employment, names and addresses of the workers, and information about whether they are being provided with basic amenities like housing, water, and electricity.

This order will remain in effect until September 8, 2025, and any violation of these regulations will result in legal consequences.
