Municipal Commissioner Milind Bapna urges compliance with parking and construction material placement rules
Anand, Monday: Following the orders of Municipal Commissioner Milind Bapna, the Anand Municipal Corporation has launched an anti-encroachment drive to address issues related to illegal parking and construction material obstructing public roads and pathways. The Estate Department’s encroachment team conducted surprise inspections across various areas to remove such obstructions.
During these inspections, several units were found neglecting encroachment regulations, including D-Mart near Tulsi Garnala and Narayan Hub near Collector’s Office in Anand. These units were served notices and fined ₹50,000 each, resulting in a total penalty collection of ₹1,00,000.
Officials have warned that if these units fail to maintain proper encroachment and parking management in the future, stricter penalties, including sealing of premises, will be enforced.
Additionally, Municipal Commissioner Milind Bapna has urged businesses and construction sites not to place sand, gravel, or construction materials on public roads in a manner that obstructs pedestrian and vehicular movement.
