Anand, Friday: In response to increasing complaints from citizens regarding excessive DJ sound levels in Anand city and district, District Collector Praveen Chaudhary held a meeting with DJ operators and party plot owners at Anand Circuit House to address the issue.
The meeting was attended by Anand Municipal Commissioner Milind Bapna, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Jasani, Resident Additional Collector R.S. Desai, ARTO officials, and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) representatives.
During the meeting, Collector Praveen Chaudhary strongly urged DJ operators and party plot owners to take precautions to prevent noise pollution, especially in Anand, an educational hub. He emphasized that SSC and HSC board exams are currently underway, and students must not be disturbed by excessive noise during the day or night.
He also pointed out that excessive noise impacts senior citizens, young children, hospital patients, and students in schools and colleges. Loud DJ sounds near hospitals can affect patient recovery, while disturbances near schools and colleges disrupt educational activities.
