Anand Municipal Corporation Generates Over ₹6.43 Crore Revenue in the Last Two Months from Shop Rent and Other Collections

18 Commercial Properties Sealed for Non-Payment of Pending Property Tax.

Residents of Anand, Vidyanagar, Karamsad, Lambhvel, Gamdi, Mogri, and Jitodia Urged to Pay Property Tax Promptly.

Property tax payments accepted until March 31, including weekends (except Holi), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Anand, Wednesday: After the establishment of Anand Municipal Corporation, Shri Milind Bapna has been appointed as its first Commissioner. Under his leadership, the Tax Department has launched a special campaign to recover pending and current dues, boosting municipal revenue through various measures.

To maximize collections, Anand Municipal Corporation is focusing on rent recovery from commercial shops, property tax, and business tax. As part of this drive, 18 commercial shops with unpaid dues have been sealed, including two shops and three flats of Devpriya Infra Pvt. Ltd. at Ansh Enclave Complex on Jitodia Road.

Additionally, notices for tax payment have been issued to 7,708 residents across different areas:

  • 3,600 in Anand
  • 3,900 in Vidyanagar
  • 308 in Karamsad
    Further notices are being issued to remaining defaulters.

Revenue Breakdown (Jan 1 – March 3, 2025):

  • Shop rent collections: ₹17,11,754
  • Property tax collections:
    • Anand: ₹3.63 crore
    • Vidyanagar: ₹30.22 lakh
    • Karamsad: ₹43.33 lakh
    • Lambhvel: ₹1.48 lakh
    • Gamdi: ₹54,861
    • Mogri: ₹1.47 lakh
    • Jitodia: ₹1.35 lakh
    • Total: ₹4.41 crore
  • Business tax collections: ₹1.85 crore

Total Revenue in Two Months: ₹6.43 crore+

Residents of Anand, Vidyanagar, Karamsad, Lambhvel, Gamdi, Mogri, and Jitodia are urged to pay their property tax at Anand Municipal Corporation by March 31, 2025. Payments will be accepted on all days (except Holi), including weekends, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Prompt payments are requested to avoid further penalties.
