TRUENAAT Machines to Enhance TB Diagnosis.
Anand, Monday: In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India TB-free by 2025, the Anand District Health Department has received three TRUENAAT machines from MGVCL Anand. These machines will be deployed at health centers in Sojitra, Tarapur, and Akalav talukas to improve early and accurate TB diagnosis.
The initiative was made possible through the efforts of Milind Bapna, former District Development Officer of Anand and current Commissioner of Anand Municipal Corporation, with support from Tejas Parmar, MD of Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL), who allocated funds from the company’s CSR budget to provide these machines to the District TB Center.
How TRUENAAT Machines Will Help
The TRUENAAT machines offer higher sensitivity and specificity compared to traditional microscopy, allowing for faster TB detection and earlier treatment for patients.
Under the “TB HAREGA, DESH JITEGA” (TB Will Lose, The Nation Will Win) campaign, these machines mark a significant step toward reducing TB cases in Anand District and increasing the TB recovery success rate.
Call for CSR Support from Businesses
The Anand District Health Department is urging local businesses and industries in both public and private sectors to contribute to TB eradication through their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds. Companies can:
- Adopt TB patients through the Nikshay Mitra program.
- Provide Handheld X-Ray DR machines for early TB detection.
These efforts will accelerate the “TB-Free Anand” initiative and contribute to India’s mission of eliminating TB by 2025.
