Admission Announcement for Free Entry into Grade 1 under RTE Act-2009 for the Academic Year 2025-26

Anand, Thursday: The State Government has implemented a scheme under Section 12(1)(c) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, which mandates private unaided primary schools to reserve 25% of their seats in Grade 1 for free admission of children from economically weaker and disadvantaged groups.
Children who have completed six (06) years of age as of June 1, 2025, and fall under the priority criteria, will be eligible for admission under this scheme.
Parents can fill out the admission form online on the official website https://rte.orpgujarat.com from February 28, 2025, to March 12, 2025. All necessary details, including the required supporting documents and the authorities to whom they must be submitted, are provided on the website.
To ensure parents have sufficient time to collect the necessary documents, a gap has been maintained between the admission announcement and the start of online applications.
While filling out the online application form, parents must upload original documents, including:
- Birth certificate
- Proof of residence
- Caste/category certificate
- Income certificate issued by a competent authority
- Income tax return (if applicable)
- For non-taxpayers, a self-declaration stating that they do not fall under the taxable income category (where applicable)
Parents should keep a printed copy of the submitted online form for their records. However, there is no need to submit the form physically at any office, as per the District Primary Education Officer, Anand.
