Anand District Task Force Conducts Raid to Eradicate Child Labor

A child laborer was rescued from New Top Bricks in Umeta-Khadol, Anklav Taluka.

Owners of Pratap Bhajipav & Pulav and Joshi Kitchen in Vidyanagar were issued a regulatory notice for employing adolescent workers.

A child labor complaint was filed against the owner of New Top Bricks at Anklav Police Station.

Anand, Thursday: The Anand District Task Force Team conducted a raid in an effort to eliminate child labor, leading to the rescue of a child worker from New Top Bricks in Umeta-Khadol, Anklav Taluka. The child was handed over to Vidyanagar Children’s Home, and the District Labor Officer filed a child labor complaint against the owner of New Top Bricks at Anklav Police Station.

The raid was organized by the Anand District Task Force Committee and executed by a team consisting of Government Labor Officers P.N. Ninama, R.K. Barot, A.J. Parmar (Anand Municipal Corporation), and DCPU Anand.

During the raid, the team discovered a child being made to work at New Top Bricks. The child was rescued, necessary statements were recorded, and the child was sent to Vidyanagar Children’s Home.

Based on the complaint filed by the Government Labor Officer, Anklav Police registered a case against Islamnabi Dolatsher Khan, the owner of New Top Bricks, under Section 3 of the Child and Adolescent Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986. Legal proceedings have been initiated against him.

Additionally, the district task force conducted another raid in Vidyanagar, where owners of Pratap Bhajipav & Pulav and Joshi Kitchen were issued regulatory notices for employing adolescent workers. These notices were served under the Child and Adolescent Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, and its Gujarat regulations.
