Anand, Friday: The Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute (SPERI), located in Vidyanagar, Anand, organized a one-day special program on the theme “Empowering the SC Community through Renewable Energy Interventions.”
This event was held at Pramukh Community Hall, Anand, with the collaboration of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Energy in Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries, Bhopal, and the SCSP Program.
During the event, Anand District Development Officer, Ms. Devahuti, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the significant contribution of women, particularly from the SC community, towards societal development. She also highlighted the importance of renewable energy and the limitations of traditional energy sources.
Anand MLA, Mr. Yogesh Patel, stressed the importance of education for women in the SC community, urging them to actively participate in the nation’s development.
Additionally, Charutar Vidya Mandal Chairman, Mr. Bhikhubhai Patel, inspired the attendees to pursue education as a means to build a bright future.
The event also featured Dr. Anil Kumar Dubey, Director of SPERI, who welcomed the dignitaries and provided insights into SPERI’s activities and initiatives.
Objectives of the Program:
The primary aim of the program was to empower the SC community by integrating renewable energy solutions into their daily and professional lives. The initiative focused on:
✅ Raising awareness about eco-friendly practices
✅ Encouraging health and economic benefits through renewable energy adoption
✅ Distributing various renewable energy devices and systems to beneficiaries
Furthermore, the program included a health check-up camp for the SC community and a technical exhibition showcasing renewable energy innovations.
