88 Encroachments Removed, Clearing Approximately 6,305 Square Meters of Land

Request for Voluntary Removal of Illegal Encroachments on Government Land

Anand, Friday: Under the guidance of Anand District Collector Praveen Chaudhary, the district administration, in collaboration with Anand Municipal Commissioner Milind Bapna, has been taking action against illegal encroachments in Anand district and within Anand Municipal Corporation limits. As part of this initiative, illegal temporary and permanent encroachments near Amin Auto were removed today after following the due process outlined in the Revenue Act.

In Anand city’s approved and implemented Town Planning Scheme No. 8, Final Plot No. 54, 120, which belongs to Anand Municipal Corporation, and Final Plot Nos. 118 and 119, owned by the State Government, were cleared of encroachments, freeing a total of 6,305 square meters of land. The affected occupants had already been served legal notices on February 7, 2025.

During the removal process, a total of 88 encroachments were cleared, including 35 unauthorized structures on municipal land and 53 on government-owned land.

The eviction drive involved the use of 5 tractors, 3 JCB machines, and a workforce of approximately 25 laborers from the Roads and Buildings Department and Anand Municipal Corporation.

According to Municipal Commissioner Milind Bapna and Anand Prant Officer Mayur Parmar, it is essential for people to voluntarily remove encroachments from government land. If not, strict legal action will be taken, and the district administration and municipal corporation will remove unauthorized structures as per regulations.

The operation was overseen by Anand Prant Officer Mayur Parmar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner S.K. Garwal, City Mamlatdar Charmi Rawal, Deputy Superintendent of Police Panchal, Town PI Zala, police officials, and officers and staff from the relevant departments.
