Steady Decline in Jaundice Cases in Dharmaj Village, Petlad Taluka

Anand, Thursday: In response to jaundice cases detected in Dharmaj village, Petlad Taluka, health department teams have been conducting door-to-door surveys.
Under the guidance of District Collector Praveen Chaudhary, a total of 19 health department teams are actively working in the village. These teams are focused on identifying water leakages and carrying out comprehensive door-to-door health checks.
According to Talati-cum-Minister Ronak Bhavsar, the Gram Panchayat of Dharmaj has successfully repaired all 38 detected water leakages.
The Chief District Health Officer reported that a total of 118 jaundice cases have been recorded in Dharmaj village so far.While 5 new cases have been identified today, one patient was discharged yesterday, and 22 patients are currently under treatment. Over the past three days, there has been a steady decline in jaundice cases.
Additionally, the health department has distributed 27,189 chlorine tablets to residents.
Health teams continue to work on-site in the village. The health department has urged residents not to self-medicate and to visit the nearest health center if they experience jaundice symptoms.
