Publish Date : 18/02/2025

Farmers Can Register Online for Free on the E-Samruddhi Portal Until March 9

Anand, Tuesday: To ensure that farmers in Gujarat receive a fair price for their produce and secure their economic well-being, the state government has planned to procure chickpeas and mustard at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the year 2024-25.

The Government of India has announced an MSP of ₹5,650 per quintal for chickpeas and ₹5,950 per quintal for mustard for the 2024-25 season.

When market prices fall below the MSP, the Government of India, under the PM-AASHA (Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan) scheme, has decided to purchase chickpeas and mustard at MSP under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) in the state.

Accordingly, farmers from all districts of Gujarat can register for free online enrollment through E-Gram Centers at the village level with the help of VCE (Village Computer Entrepreneurs) on the NAFED E-Samruddhi Portal from today until March 9.

Farmers cultivating chickpeas and mustard in the district are encouraged to take advantage of this scheme, as per the request made by the District Agriculture Officer, District Panchayat Anand.

It is important to note that the state government has made necessary preparations to procure sufficient quantities of chickpeas and mustard from farmers. As per this arrangement, the procurement process will commence at various purchase centers from March 14.
